Yes, when an LMS HQ competition is accepting entries. The Premier League began on 21 August 2026, but each Last Man Standing competition has its own entry window. Check its status, entry fee, minimum entries and first pick deadline before paying. If entries are closed, wait for the next open competition
Last Man Standing creates a weekly football decision with a simple rule and a long memory: pick a team to win, survive if they do, and do not use that team again. A better way to plan your picks
Start with the fixture list, not a club-name hierarchy. A strong side away from home can be a worse survivor pick than a mid-table side with a clean home fixture
Keep a short list of teams you want available for future rounds. The key question is not only "will this team win?" but "what am I giving up by using them now?"
Check team news and changes to kick-off times before submitting. A good plan made on Monday is not a substitute for a final check near the deadline
Do not assume a competition treats missed picks, postponed fixtures, re-entries or an all-player elimination in the same way as another pool. Those details belong in the rules
How should I plan with only 20 teams?
The Premier League has 38 match rounds and 20 clubs. An LMS HQ competition is a separate survivor game, and each club can only be picked once in that competition. Do not plan on making 38 unique selections. Keep track of your used teams and compare this round with the fixtures ahead
Compare the next few rounds. Before using a strong team, look at its later fixtures and your alternatives this week. Saving it may help later, but only if your current pick gives you a reasonable chance of surviving
Keep useful options when you can. Some rounds offer no obvious pick, so check whether an unused strong team has a promising fixture ahead. There is no target number of big teams to save through the first month. If your alternatives now look much riskier, using the stronger team can be worth losing that future option
Recheck the plan every week. Form, injuries and manager changes reshape the league fast. A route sketched in August should be redrawn by October. The plan is not a script. It is a reminder of what each pick costs you later
Deadlines, postponements and payment confirmation
Use the round deadline and rules shown by LMS HQ. Fixture changes and delayed payment confirmation are different issues, so check both your pick and your entry status
Deadlines: submit or change your pick before the deadline shown in your competition. You can enter picks up to five weeks in advance
Postponed fixtures: LMS HQ treats postponed, cancelled, abandoned or rescheduled games as a win to keep you in, but you cannot win the competition on a postponed game alone
Bank transfers: clicking “I've sent it” tells us you sent the transfer. We confirm payment after reconciling the money received
Everyone out at once: under LMS HQ rules, the prize rolls over to a new competition, minus a 10% rollover fee
Running a pool for a group
An office, friends' group or football club pool should settle its rules before the first ball is kicked: entry amount, prize split, deadline, what counts as a win, whether a missed pick is a default or elimination, and how postponed fixtures work. Those decisions prevent the familiar arguments that tend to arrive after the first unexpected draw

LMS HQ treats postponed, cancelled, abandoned or rescheduled games, and results later changed by the governing body, as a win to keep you in. You cannot win the competition on a postponed game alone. Other organisers may use different rules
What happens if everyone is eliminated in the same round?
Under LMS HQ rules, the prize rolls over to a new competition, minus a 10% rollover fee. A buy-back is available only if enabled for that competition, once per player per competition, at the fee shown on its page
Does clicking “I’ve sent it” confirm my bank payment?
No. It tells LMS HQ that you have sent the transfer. Payment is confirmed after reconciliation matches the money received to your entry. Follow the instructions on the bank checkout page and check your entry status; the button itself is not proof that the money has arrived
