Competition Rules
Everything you need to know about playing and winning with Last Man Standing HQ
How It Works
Our competitions are elimination-style competitions, where you pick a team to win each round
Each competition consists of multiple rounds (typically weekly), and you must pick one team per round
If your team wins, you advance to the next round
If your team loses or draws, you're eliminated from the competition
You can enter your picks up to 5 weeks in advance
If everyone is eliminated, the prize pot rolls over to the next competition (minus a 10% platform fee)
The last person standing wins the entire prize pot!
Team Selection Rules
You can only pick each team ONCE per competition - so choose wisely!
Once you've picked a team, it will be marked and unavailable for future rounds
Picks must be submitted before the round deadline - late picks are not accepted
You can change your pick as long as its before the round deadline
Elimination & Scoring
If your picked team loses or draws their match, you are eliminated from the competition
If your team wins, you advance to the next round
Postponed or cancelled games are automatically marked as wins - you cannot be eliminated by these matches
However, competitions cannot be won on postponed/cancelled games alone - at least one actual win is required
The competition continues until only one contender remains
Buy-Backs
Some competitions offer buy-back options for eliminated participants
Buy-backs allow you to re-enter a competition after being eliminated by paying an buy back fee
Not all competitions have buy-backs enabled - check the competition details before entering
Buy-back fees and availability are clearly displayed on each competition page
You can only buy back once per competition
Buy-back deadlines apply - you must buy back and make your pick before the next round deadline.
Prize Distribution
The winner takes the entire prize pot - prizes are not split between players
Prize pots are built from 2/3 of all entry fees and buy-back fees
If everyone is eliminated, the prize pot rolls over to the next competition
Rollover deduction: 10% platform fee is taken from rolled-over amounts
Example: £1000 rollover = £100 platform fee + £900 to new competition
Winners are contacted via registered email to arrange prize payment
Please ensure your email address is up to date in your profile settings
Prize distribution typically occurs within 5-10 business days of competition completion
Entry Fees & Payments
Each competition has an entry fee that must be paid to participate
Entry fees are clearly displayed on each competition page
Payment must be completed before you can make your first pick
All payments are processed securely through Stripe
Fee Structure: From your entry fee, 1/3 goes to platform costs and 2/3 goes to the prize pot
Buy-back fees follow the same structure (1/3 platform, 2/3 to prize pot)
Example: £10 entry = £3.33 platform fee + £6.67 to prize pot
